About Our Teams

The National Blades began in 1997 as the Prince William Precision Teams. Since our beginning, we have grown into an organization fielding teams at both qualifying and non qualifying levels. Our organization is one of four that represent the Washington Figure Skating Club at USFS Synchronized Skating Competitions throughout the Eastern Section of the US, and we are proud to say that we are the "original"  WFSC Team.

We are based in Prince William County in Northern Virginia, just south of Washington DC. We practice at  the Prince William Ice Center and the Haymarket Iceplex, both located in Prince William County.

Our Mission is to promote synchronized skating as an activity that builds character and camaraderie in the sport of figure skating, through the teamwork and dedication of our skaters.

Our organization is under the direction of Head Coach Teresa Yuengert, a singles and synchro skater from the Detroit area. Our Coaching staff includes skaters from all disciplines, including singles, dance, pairs, and synchronized skating.  Please go to the Coaches page to meet our coaches and view their bios.
