The National Blades are celebrating their 25th anniversary since the program was founded.

The National Blades began the synchronized skating program chapter in 1997 as the Prince William Precision Teams, it later was renamed to the National Blades. The National Blades now have six fielding teams at both qualifying and non-qualifying levels and skates on the behalf of the US Figure Skating at USFA Synchronized Skating Competitions throughout the Eastern Section of the United States.  The National Blades call Prince William Ice Center in Woodbridge, VA, and Haymarket IcePlex in Haymarket, VA as their home bases.  Both are in Prince William County, serving east and west parts of the county.
